Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines was one of the better role-playing games of the early 2000's. It was powered by the then new Source engine tech that was also used in Half-Life 2. After a few weeks of teases, speculation, Paradox finally made things official at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco: it is publishing Vampire: The Masquerades—Bloodlines 2.
The original Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines was released 15 years ago. On top of an absolute mouthful of a title, it was one of the best RPGs of its time, a memorable, heady mix of vampires and Los Angeles crime.
Bloodlines 2 will take the series to a new city, Seattle, and expand upon the vampire society that made the first game great. You play as a young vampire who was forcibly turned as part of a taboo "Mass Embrace," and who must now learn to navigate a bloody political landscape. The first-person RPG takes place years after the events of Bloodlines and is set in a new city for the series: Seattle, Washington. There's an announcement trailer below.
Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 price and editions
There are three editions of the game and here's how much they cost.
Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 Standard Edition: Rs. 1, 299 ($60 in the US)
Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 Unsanctioned Edition: Rs. 1,499 ($70 in the US)
Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 Blood Moon Edition: Rs. 1,899 ($90 in the US)
All pre-orders include the digital OST and a few cosmetic items while the Unsanctioned and Blood Moon Editions get developer commentary and some more
in-game items. The Blood Moon edition gets two story packs and a yet to be revealed expansion too. No physical edition has been announced just yet. What's more is Paradox doesn't have an Indian distributor so if you're looking forward to picking it up at retail, you may be better off importing the game.
